It's funny how one hobby will often spin itself off into a new, time wasting diversion.

Such is my case. From modeling Civil War Railroad artillery to World War I's beautiful fragile aeroplanes. Beauty in design and ingenuity yet used to kill and destroy.
Beautiful yet Angry Butterflies.

While building these works of art, I also noticed the first Tanks to be developed. Designed and built for brute force war in hostile and lousy conditions.
The Lumbering Elephants.

Like my Modeling the American Civil War Railroad Artillery, it seems that there is a common thread. Beginnings. Beginnings of armored trains, armored fighting vehicles and their logistical uses in times of war, Beginnings of flight and the airplane, Beginnings of the Tank as a weapon of war.
Oh My Goodness. There seems to be another common element to these. Death and Destruction.

Here I will post projects dealing with World War I Aeroplanes and Tanks
